An in-person examination with your pet by a veterinarian at this hospital must have occurred within the last 12 months to have a current VCPR. Yes. We refresh our website every 15 minutes to ensure that it reflects all our available animals. When an animal is available for adoption, we add their profile to our website. As soon as an animal is adopted, we remove their profile.\u00a0When you visit our adoption center, you may see animals that\u00a0aren\u2019t\u00a0listed on the website. Euthanasia only occurs if a pet has<\/span>\u00a0serious<\/span>\u00a0behavior o<\/span>r<\/span>\u00a0medical concerns that cannot be treated or managed in a shelter. We never\u00a0<\/span>euthanize<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>animals\u00a0<\/span>due to<\/span>\u00a0a<\/span>\u00a0lack of\u00a0<\/span>space.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>The SF SPCA’s top priority is to\u00a0<\/span>maintain<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>a good\u00a0<\/span>quality<\/span>\u00a0of life for each pet in our care and the safety of our staff, volunteers, and community.\u202f<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t
